Pink Shirt Day

Pink Shirt Day came from an act of kindness by David Shepherd & Travis Price who wanted to show support for a Grade 9 boy at their school who was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. They bought and distributed pink shirts and organized a day where students wore a pink shirt to take a stand against bullying.

Travis Price shared that as they were handing the shirts out in the main entrance to their school, the boy who had been bullied walked in. His face spoke volumes. ‘It looked like a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders. The bullies were never heard from again.”

Pink Shirt Day happens on the last Wednesday in February.
